... That instead of solving the problems created by the sound hitting the walls, it is wiser to avoid it getting there in the first place !
The main concept to see is that without the Black-Holes, the sound expands from your speakers to the total surface of walls. While with the Black-Holes about 85% of all the drivers direct sounds don' t reflect on walls and not even on the first foot of the floor & ceiling ! Hence the great amount of problems avoided.
And also that the new kinetic resonators are so efficient for bass control, loudness, and definition; they significantly give better results than $1200 of good quality traditional bass-traps. But you should also have those bass-traps, and wall treatment, for dim 3rd reflections from back wall, ceiling, and floor, your sound will get even closer to perfection.
THE KINETIC RESONATORS
To make something move, it takes energy; whether it' s fuel, battery, glucose, or coal. And once the energy has been used to move enough mass for a time, then it' s gone, depleted, down to zero, if you want to continue moving the mass, like a car or even just the hands of a clock; you have to refuel the car, or recharge the clock' s battery.
That' s why movement is scientifically called "kinetic energy", because the "stored" or "potential" energy like fuel or a battery, is transformed
into kinetic energy, which we all call movement.
The acoustics of bass sound waves: they carry more energy than other sounds, (as they need more energy to be produced: think of a powered subwoofer).
That stronger energy has 2 main effects: 1) the bass sounds go right through standard sound-panels, 2) their energy lasts longer so more reflections can accumulate, build sound pressure, and mix into average hybrid frequencies, creating an indefinite background "hum" (boomy bass).
( No wonder bass is the hardest to control, and bass-traps are the 1st step when you get serious about music quality, definition, and enjoyment... )
The Kinetic-Resonators are pushed into vibration movements by the Bass Waves
TIGHT BASS :
Soundexman' s proprietary Kinetic Resonators control the bass better, making notes "purr" audibly to their original frequency, without blur or boominess, in 2 super-efficient ways :
1) Contrary to massive & stiff walls, that can' t be pushed into movement by the energy of bass-waves (so the waves just ricochet instead) ; the Kinetic Resonators have the exact -size -shape -low mass -freedom of movement to get pushed by the bass-waves peaks, thus resonating to the same bass frequencies, those resonating vibration movements are the "kinetic energy" set in motion by the energy of the bass, which, having been used up to move the mass of the resonators, is now depleted significantly.
2) The Black-Holes pads with their Kinetic-Resonators are positioned about 2 inch besides the speakers, so the drivers don' t even "see" the walls, so they can' t even send sound-waves on any part of the walls, exept 6 to 9 feet in front of the speakers. Exactly like horse blinders, your speakers will focus only forward, on the listeners, not on the walls where they would create interfering de-phased reflections which degrade the music in many ways.
De-phased reflections are avoided with the Black-Holes acoustic treatment.

RICOCHET Vs ENERGY TRANSFERT : On a pool table, the white-ball would be the (bass sound-waves) ; the side-bumpers would be the (room walls) ; and the 8-ball would be the (Kinetic-Resonators). If the white-ball ricochets on a side-bumper, it' s similar to the bass-waves reflecting on a wall, both the bumper and the wall are too massive and stiff to be pushed into motion. While if the white-ball hits & pushes the 8-ball, it' s like the bass-waves hitting and pushing the Kinetic-Resonators which, like the 8-ball, are light enough and free to move. NOTICE the most important: the white-ball then stops (or almost), having transfered its energy to the 8-ball. SO, similarly, the bass-waves almost stop after transfering their energy to the Kinetic-Resonators.
(...8-ball goes into pocket (black-hole); you WIN the Best-Sound tournament.)
Sound waves reflect on fixed walls, but can interact with lighter masses . . .
EFFICIENT PROPRIETARY TECHNOLOGY :
- You can see here that the Kinetic-Resonators have at least 4 pointed & angled parts, they are designed to drive structural vibrations toward a small vanishing point/tip.
- The K-Resonators also have long 90 degrees sides to act as converging corners where bass-trapping is most effective.
- Some holes scatter waves and vibrations, others interact with the ecological fiberglass for the precise freedom of movement : too much freedom would allow the resonators to emit-back sounds; while not enough would prevent them from resonating efficiently.
- For now, some high efficiency design details are not shown; the procedures for the copycat-proof patents are still underway.
FINAL WORDS :
Some complementary technical explanations are given in other sections, where they better match the page subject. But no matter the descriptions, the numbers' accuracy, or anyone' s beliefs & personal experience; the only thing that matters is the reality of the audible RESULTS.
The only way you can discover, confirm, and enjoy your new amazing sound, is to hear the "clean" rendering power of the Black-Holes in your own system. Just click on AUDITION to try them risk-free, it might very well be one of the best sound upgrades you' ll ever make !
2 or 3 Kinetic-Resonators in each side_PAD, totaling 8, or 12 for the "Warp-10" Black-Holes model.
